We totally loved this park and very much enjoyed our stay.  The entire staff as well as owner were very pleasant.  We had no problems whatsoever and no complaints either.  We will be returning to this park again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here one year ago and gave the park an 8 and thought it had a lot of promise. Now a year later, I was concerned about staying here again after the negative reviews. However, our Friday over night stay was very pleasant. The park was completely booked. The crowd is younger families and lots of golf carts. Management seems to heeding the negative advice as I saw management and employees constantly. New rules have also been implemented. We enjoy it as an overnight stay on I 10. The exit where it is located has many great eating options. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a class A RV Resort. The staff are friendly and helpful. You must book in advance for this park, because it books up fast. It does have a lot to offer the whole family. More Bath Houses are in the works to be built but usually really not a problem. They have something to offer everyone, and if you cant find it here, they have a lot to offer in town. If you don't feel like cooking the Crawfish Town Restaurant will deliver to your site. How wonderful is that. Of course so many people are out and about an cooking you should not go hungry. Extremely confusing layout. Roads are only about 10 feet wide with sites on each side. Lots of campers park with awnings out into the roadway making it almost impossible to pull your rig through without hitting them. Sites are close together. Very difficult to navigate the narrow roads when park is crowded due to very odd layout. This is a new campground and the grass areas are not established yet. In heavy rains, the grassy areas turn into mud. Very difficult for pet walking, etc. We had reserved a pull-thru site, but were given a back-in upon arrival (only staying 3 days). Called the owner and he was very accommodating and found us a pull-thru site that would hold our 40 foot fiver and tow vehicle. Would stay again if in the area, only because it appears to be the best alternative. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here approximately 2 weeks. We liked that it was a newer park; free cable with lots of channels and Wi-Fi for a fee. The site pads were all paved, and even though small concrete area, the sites were spacious between each other. The park seemed to understand that due to design we had to park a little on the grass for lack of room on the concrete pad. It appeared they were paving some sights to extend them. Rain makes for muddy sites; they did have maintenance shoveling etc. and working to keep sites as nice as possible. I noticed the weekends did fill up with LSU fans, families, etc; but kids were taken on train rides around the park; tiki bar had a crowd, but didn't bother us; if this is a concern I recommend asking for a site toward the back away from the action; the park is large enough with many sites. The Crawfish Restaurant next door delivers to the sites, and was good. No shade if that's a concern for you. We had no problems and I would add the owner/staff were extremely nice and helpful. The store is nicely stocked and convenient. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I have to agree with the other reviews it is more of a free for all then a campground. I think the "Park and Drink" was the best explanation so far and it is not a good place for a family to camp or any one that wants to relax it is for the party crowd and shows.Very disappointing not at all what we where expecting. A new RV park, although I would not call this a campground, it is better described as a "park and drink". The park is a favorite of the locals, which is great for the owners. You will find over 1/2 of the weekday campers uninhabited until either Thurs or Friday evenings. It is super that the park has full hook ups with cable. Whoever designed the park surely did not have experience with actual campers. The pads were short and skinny. You have to either park in front of your camper or park in a empty pad if close. In fact, it appears that every site has become a pull through being how the assistant will lead you to your site by traveling the wrong way to enter at the rear of your site. As with the previous post, I agree that the pool is far too small to accommodate the campers even at 35% capacity. At 50% capacity, the pool basically looks like a wave pool at a water park, people just standing in place. Equally, the art of smoking while lounging in the pool was disgusting. I notice several drunken ladies with their loungers inside the pool using the water as a ashtray. The bath houses were very clean, but if they had ventilation, it wasn't being used. One shower in the South LA heat turned the place into a steam house. Cajun Palms sends you via email a extensive rules list. Carts, parking on grass and curbing you animals were emphasized although it was ridiculous what was being ignored. Children driving carts, dog droppings all over the place and when the locals arrived, it was not uncommon to have 3-4 vehicles, on the grass, at each site. Lastly, and most important, the place turns into a virtual swamp when it rains. The grounds are pancake flat with no drainage whatsoever. This is a good park to spend two nights in your camper during the school year, but not beyond that. With all being said, I would return for a weekend trip. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our third trip here, and I have to say that it will be the last for a while. The campground is nice and the pool is nice with the swim up bar but I think the golf carts are out of hand. Three times over the weekend I was almost run over by a golf cart driven by someone that was not paying attention. At one point my wife had to scream at someone who was driving, and not even looking, just missing us. Although the pool is really nice, it is not big enough to support the campground when it is full. Also, it was not very enjoyable to be at the pool with all of the smokers there. People were actually smoking IN the pool! I'm usually not one to complain but that was just nasty. I know the park is new and the owners are trying to make everyone happy but at the very least they could support their own rules. If this is your crowd, You will more than enjoy yourself. If not, well, it kind of makes for an unenjoyable weekend. I think we will just go back to our old favorite just down the road. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Terrific rv resort. Great pool. Great location. It would be a ten but the layout is not great ,and I saw the problems others complained about concerning small sites. I had to drive through the grass to get out as we left early one morning and other rigs prevented us from getting out. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a work in progress, as it is very new. They had an architect do the layout, but I don't think he had any knowledge of RV parks. So, to solve the problem they are adding more concrete at the sites to make them better. The management is very accomodating, and will do whatever it takes to make your stay pleasant. The rate reflects the weekly rate. Their swimming pool is simply amazing. It is the largest pool of any RV park I have seen. We will be back for a month next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a brand new park. The roads in the park are very narrow, However, Keep in mind that it is a work in progress and they are correcting some of the mistakes as they go, and learn. The Pool is gorgeous, complete with water fall coming from the upper balcony. They have live DJ's on the weekend with dancing around the pool area. All of the sites are concrete and pretty level. I had a little trouble getting my 40 footer in the site without doing a little landscaping. We were quickly moved to a pull-thru as they had plenty of room available this weekend. There is a game room for the kids, on-site movie theater, and plenty of bike riding opportunities. There are 2 ponds stocked with fish, (catch and release) and a number of sites along the ponds edge. Cabins were nicely done and clean. Only half of the park is completed but still plenty of room. The only down side I can see so far is the narrow roads. Other than that, we had a wonderful weekend with friends old and new. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The scenery was great, very lush and lots of wildlife to photograph. Bring lots of towels or be prepared if it rains, there is lots of muddy area so bring a rug. Lots of shady area and the campground has gatherings and lots of activites in the pavillion area, seems every weekend. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice, shaded park with a friendly staff that escorts you to the site, and helps with backing in. We camped with 4 other campers, and the staff was able to group us together. The sites are grassy but our site was not very level. The sewer hookup is elevated and at an odd angle, making it difficult to drain tanks without "walking the hose" several times. Fire rings and picnic tables at each site. Activities scheduled throughout the year. Playground, putt-putt, pool etc., to keep the kids busy. We will stay here again. This is also a Good Sam campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It's a nice campground with friendly staff. They even helped me back into my spot. First complaint I have is that they charged me for having 2 extra kids. And one was a baby. Another is that they made me take down a small tent that we used for a play pen. They said I don't want to know how much extra that would cost. One last thing, don't plan on washing clothes because the people staying on the permanent camp sites guard the washer and dryer. They should have seperate facilities. We noticed only 106 sites, of those, 62 are permanently occupied ( mostly by weekend visitors) with that said,this is a nice campground. It is well maintained, the spaces are large and everything is very clean. The staff was very helpful & friendly. It is located off the freeway about .8 of a mile with a large state visitor center located at the same exit (#121 of Hwy 10). Very easy to get to and from and conveniently located for seeing the sights in the area. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice park with spacious grassy sites and mature shade trees. Most sites are back-in and on grass. Lots of sites are occupied by long-term residents with many units serving as weekend fishing and hunting camps for locals. Just off the Interstate on the edge of the swamp and near a state tourist information office. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground. Whole area very well maintained. Arrived after 7:00 pm and had park employees stay late and lead us to our site, help light the site, help us back into our site, and help me level the camper. Was very impressed by the service and it was well received after a long day of driving. The only reason the park did not receive a 10 was the number of permanent/long term campers. It was not a detraction as all of them were very neat and well kept and very friendly, it is just that they seemed to have most of the "best" sites occupied. Will definitely be back. We found the campground to be well taken care of, neat, clean and overall a quiet peaceful atmosphere. We were treated well by the employees and owners as well as given help in finding our site and setting up our camper. We will camp there again as they also have wireless internet access. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

While camping at Frenchman's Wilderness Campground I was impressed with the concern the staff shows to their customers. I camp every year during their Fourth of July celebrations and have been coming since July of 2003. During a power outage in July of 2004 the owner and staff went to each site asking the campers to shut down their air conditioners so that when the power came back on their units would not be damaged. This impressed me as it showed they were concerned for their customers RVs and campers. I will continue to camp here as they continually make improvements as well as keep the campground safe and very clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice & Quiet campground. Employees are very helpful in escorting you & parking your rv. The campground is very clean. Only concern was the owner went site to site asking everyone to use their air conditioners only at night due to high electricity bill. This was unbelievable, especially when paying 24.94 a night. Great campground in the cajun country. Just off the I10 exit 121. The country road to the park is narrow and in need of repairs. In the park, the sites are grass and gravel, but some patios are concrete for the full timers. The sites are large and scattered. The workcamper led us to site and help set up. Enjoyed the park for a home base while touring Cajun country for food, music and culture. This campground is on a island in the swamp. Owners live on site and keep grounds clean. Some supplies in office camp store, but a mile down the road is another country store. The owners had a Thanksgiving dinner for all campers. On many Saturday nights they have dances with DJ's. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Really nice campground. Nice pool ($1 extra per day per person for pool). Small putt putt golf. Grass in this campground is very well kept up. Most sites have shade for at least some part of the day. About 1/3rd or so of the sites appear to be members that are either full-timers or campers that go here on most weekends. Roads are mostly gravel, and sites are mostly grass, but very level. Mosquitos were not a problem compared to some of the other campgrounds in S. Louisiana - probably because they have their own mosquito control that is applied on weekends. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The staffis very friendly. We got there after hours, but since they were still around, they showed us to a site and got us settled in. About 90% of the sites are shaded. Lots of trees. Sites were gravel but level. Interior roads are gravel and paved. All the sites are very large. You are not crammed together here.Easy access off of I-10 (exit #121). If you don't have your bug spray, don't stop here. The campground is in the Atchafalaya swamp basin and can get muddy. About half of the sites appeared to be permanently occupied, but there weren't any old rickety trailers. They do accept reservations, but with a no refund policy. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A very nice CG just off I-10, between Baton Rouge and Lafayette. Clean bathhouses (only one in CG though), nicely shaded with lots of grass and open spaces. Sites varied but most were spacious but not screened from the others. Some sites appeared a little difficult to back into because of trees and placement of utility posts. Gravel interior roads in good condition. Mini-golf, small clean pool, playground. Staff are very friendly! Very quiet considering only 3/4 mile off interstate.
