Had reservation but wasn't able to get motorcoach into park due to size, bridge, etc. Did go tenting...... was alright........ Lisa We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground property is small and sites on the main office side are close together. Sites across the stream were larger and more wooded sites were available. The entire grounds were clean and well maintained. Each site has trash barrels provided and they were emptied daily. Every site has a large stone fire pit but none have cooking grates. If you wish to cook over an open fire you'll need to provide your own grate. Driving within the campground isn't necessary; everything is within easy walking distance. There are wide walking paths throughout the grounds and they are lit at night by electric lanterns. The majority of sites are occupied by seasonal campers who were friendly and campground staff was both friendly and helpful. I had a drainpipe leaking and they not only gave me directions to a local hardware store but called the store for me to make sure they were open. There is a pool but no lifeguard. We camped there over Labor Day weekend and the place was packed but noise levels weren't bad. All but the loudest voices are masked by the sounds of the stream running through the middle of the campground. Water, Sewer and Electric all worked fine. All water spigots at sites had pressure reducers already installed on them. Cable TV was available but I didn't use it. 5 or 6 channels were available using my rooftop TV antenna. WiFi was listed as available in the Office/Rec Hall building but I didn't attempt to use it. The camp store was small but carried essentials including ice and propane. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Shady sites on two lovely streams in the beautiful Berkshires. Unfortunately, lots of
screaming kids and unattended barking dogs spoil the tranquility. Also, the entrance/exit is a one-lane road coming off a sharp curve on a busy road. Our cable box was missing part of the hookup, and we asked the day we arrived (Friday) to have it fixed. When we left on Sunday, it had not been touched. We were also told as we were leaving that we had to pay $3 to use the dump station. I said, "It would have been nice if you'd let us know that when we made the reservations. It would also have been nice if the cable had been fixed as you promised us two days ago." The response? "If the cable had been fixed, you would have had to pay for that too." We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice quiet campground with unique stream forming recreation island in the middle. Clean restrooms and showers. Clean pool (not heated). Great place to just unwind and relax for a quiet weekend. Facilities (playground/mini-golf/restrooms/showers) could use updating. We camped here in a Tent.

This is a beautiful area to camp. The sites were a good size and level. Most near a nice brook and very wooded. The facilities could use some updating but were clean. A nice place to relax for a weekend. We camped here in a camper.
