We loved this park. Most sites are fairly level and all are shaded. Our site was directly on the Suncook River. The owners and maintenance staff as well as the seasonal campers were genuinely friendly without being intrusive. The park is quiet, peaceful, relaxing and the surroundings are lovely. If you have fond memories of how camping used to be, then this park may bring those memories back to life. The facilities are well maintained for a park of this vintage. Some of the picnic tables were well-used, but the campsites were clean, the fire pits were raked and the small beach was clean. The location is a good base for exploring the surrounding area. We will definitely visit again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this campground. From the moment we arrived the owners and staff were wonderful. Everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They do a great job keeping the park and facilities clean and in good working order. The campground is a wonderful get back to nature campground, nice shady campsites, and peaceful surroundings. Each site has its own hookup, picnic table and fire pit, which was clean upon arrival. Plenty of room at all sites and campers respect each other’s sites. There are seasonal sites there and the campers at those sites were very friendly and made you feel welcome. Just a relaxing place to stay. They do have a swimming pool, which was kept very clean. The waterfront has a little beach with clean sand, no cigarette butts or trash laying around. There are canoes and paddle boats for rental or you can bring your own canoe. Great fishing too! There is also a play area for children, away from campsites, but viewable from many sites, which was nice to let the children play and still see them in the area plus the bathhouse and restroom are there too. The campground does offer seasonal activates such as movie night, pig roast and picnics. There isn't a schedule of daily events for children but the one thing that I loved about this campground is that it lets children be children and allows them to get back to nature. It was refreshing to see children using their imaginations and playing flashlight tag, bug hunting, rock collecting and just exploring nature! Children rode their bikes around, they left their sites and made friends with other children and just played like kids should do. This is what camping is all about! This campground is close to everything that New Hampshire has to offer within just a short drive. Great for a short stay or an extended stay. Also, for those who need their morning coffee, Dunkin Donuts is a mile down the road next to a laundrymat, food market and gas station. Convenience within a short drive or walk. We loved it so much that we extended our stay there and we are looking forward to returning this year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. They made us feel like they really are glad that we chose thier campground, and went out of thier way to make us feel welcome. The campground itself is an older campground and thus has older facilities, but they are well maintained. The restrooms and showers, although older, were kept clean and neat all weekend long, even with a large number of campers. The campground offers an outdoor swimming pool, paddleboat and canoe rentals, sunset river cruise, fishing, hiking, rec hall, playground, basketball, volleyball, horseshoe pits and seasonal activities like picnics and a Pig Roast. Although the camp store doesn't offer much more than wood/ice and a few bare essentials, there is a store located within a 5 minute drive. We bought five dollars worth of wood and couldn't believe the big pile we got for our money. The owner even offered to drop it off at our site for us! This isn't an "activity filled" campground like some others. It's more of a place to go and relax and spend time with family and friends. The only drawback that I found with the campground is that there is a number of older/unused trailers thru out the park that should be removed because they detract from an otherwise scenic park. There is no sewer service, but there is a dumping station and honey wagon service is available. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning soon. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
