The front desk was friendly on the phone. Bathrooms and showers were clean. The sites are so cramped in we had to park our truck across the other side of our fifth wheel; we couldn't even put our awning out. Our area was messy with debris around it; fire ring full of cigarette butts, etc.; we asked the office to come clean up. At one time a camper caught on fire and left the site full of burnt trees. The front desk put us in this site even though there were many to choose from. Not caring for the trees bothered me the entire stay. We were stuck here for 1 week unfortunately. I couldn't wait to leave. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The Campground is very clean with all site covered in crushed red brick mulch, with beautiful landscaping. The previous owner took a great deal of pride in the park's overall appearance, and built one of the nicest bathroom buildings we have seen. Backing in a 40 foot rig can be nerve racking and not all sites will allow you to use your Sat. Dish, awnings, or some slides. There is a gated dog park to let fido run and our dogs feel very at home at this park. Unfortunately, not all dog owners are considerate, and some permanent site holders walk their dogs without leashes. Although there may be 140 sites, only 20 or so are not permanent. Of those, only 6 can accommodate big rigs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We never had the chance to stay here. We made a reservation 3 weeks before our vacation at this site for a 2 night stay. On the evening of our arrival (after a 12 hour day on the road) we found that the office was closed (at 7:30 pm on a Fri. eve.) and no one answered any of the #'s listed. There was no reservation for us, and no site available. Fortunately we found another cg which had room for our 2 night stay. When I contacted Shady Pines the next day, the lady who answered the phone was anything but apologitic, rather she was rude and obnoxious and informed me that they were not responsible as there had been a change of management in the last few weeks and therefore "it wasn't their fault" that we didn't have a site. Believe me this was the one and only time that we will use Shady Pines. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
