Compared to the KOA up the road, this park is a palace! It is clean, the staff was nice and the roads were easy to navigate and walk around. No frills, steady power, water was good. A place to spend the night is what they were shooting for and they have accomplished that. When we are visiting this area we will be back! Take it from us: Stay here and not the KOA !!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is not a "Resort" per se, just crushed gravel site with hookups. There is no pool, and not much of anything else. It is an OK spot to stay for a couple of days off the road. The park is clean. The owner lives in a trailer on site. The atmosphere is friendly. A basic rv park, but OK to stay at. I would stop here again when passing through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Easy access for any size big rigs both on and off I-37, which makes it perfect for a night or two. This place is a RV dealer with a park in the back so if you need some service or RV supplies, then it's convenient! Very friendly staff and the spots aren't that bad either. We're hanging out for 2 days to just take a break. Try the BBQ place in town - it's great. We'd stop by again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We did not know about this website until a fellow RVer told me about it. This is our first entry. I can not believe how terrible this park is. The roads were almost non-travelable (if that is a word), and the restrooms were awful! When I asked the young lady in the office why they allowed this place to run down, she stated, "You should have seen it last month if you think it is bad now"! The train was so loud that it shook our 5th wheel, and if it was not the train it was the Peacocks screeching at 2:00AM. The owners and KOA clearly do not care how they are represented. I am glad we discovered this website so we can express ourselves. We will never be back here! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were asked to revisit this park (this is our second time here, the first was a disaster) and submit a review for a RV Magazine. The story is about the Best and the Worst! After the first visit and a very long conversation with KOA you would think this place would clean up it's act. Just the opposite! I have a list of items that are just inexcusable for the traveling RV'er, the list is to long so I will give you the highlights. The bathrooms/Bath houses are by far the worst we have ever seen (that includes filthy gas stations), The Wi-Fi does not work at all, when I approached the manager I was told "Get an AIR CARD" if you don't like our system. The trash is stored in a very large container hidden in some trees, when it is hot you can smell it throughout the park. Now for the Peacocks, they are cute but don't let then get on your vehicle. The person next to us has major scratches from the hood to the top of his truck from the creatures walking on it. They should be pinned up for peoples enjoyment and most of all safety. The roads are extremely bad, you must watch where you walk so you do not step on a large piece of rock and brake your ankle. The Pool is unfit to swim in, it is green, you can not see the drain and the water stinks like rotten eggs. In short the park is by far the worst we have visited in some 30 months of traveling. I can not mention the RV Magazine but it will be out in December. I have taken over 200 pictures of this place so all can see it. KOA, Owners/Managers and staff should be embarrassed to open the doors each day. Hopefully the City of Corpus Christi will visit this place and revoke the lease on the property and clean this park up. The only reason we are here is for the article! Never again.. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We visited this park prior to using this website. If we had read the reviews prior, we would never have stayed here! I am not going to bash them any worse than they have already been. Take the other reviewer comments and multiply by 10 to get the real effect. By far the worst park ever! We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a nice park. We stayed at the KOA on the other side of the lake (it was a dump) last night. We were packing up to leave and a guest told us about this park. It is great: nice staff, very clean and plenty of room to stretch out. Has a great view of the lake. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a very serious problem at the KOA across the Lake and we ended up at this state park. I am so glad we did. The Rangers and staff were wonderful, we told them what happened to us at at the KOA and they said it happens all the time so I don't feel so bad. This place is very clean, the sites were wonderful. I highly recommend this location, great for the price! We will be back. The other area parks should take some lessons from this place. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Last week we passed through here and stayed at the KOA across the Lake. What a dump that is! This place is very nice. The lake looks great and the staff was nice. Typical State Park, no sewer, cable or wi fi but for the price it was wonderful! If you are in the area go the extra 1.5 miles to the Park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice people in the office. Old park with grassy/dirt sites. Power was adequate for AC. There were thunderstorms the night we were there so the laundromat traffic didn't bother us, but someone was in there most of the evening, usually families. They weren't noisy or bothersome though. Lots of low spots in the road became puddles overnight and made for a slow exit the next morning. We would use it again for an overnight. Rate was as Passport America members We camped here in a Motorhome.

Passport America park, very small with very friendly people running the park, however the park has a public laundry mat right in the center of it. It was very noisy all hours of the day and night. Dirt roads left everything very dusty with extra charges for electric, regular rate is $20 or $10 for site then you must add $1 for 30 amp or $2 for 50 amp service. Much of the park is full time campers but for just a one night stop if you can deal with the traffic to the laundry it will work. The town is pretty well dead with just a couple of fast food restaurants still open. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great place for people helping people. While a limited amount is done by the owner, people are taking pride in the way the park looks and helping others. Frequently, a volunteer can help with maintenance issues of the grounds and of your unit. That is a big plus! Watch out, DirecTV satellite access may be blocked by trees so bring plenty of cable and hope the satellite will service you. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
